Denise O’neil is the last tenant occupying a property in Chattenden House, a block on the Woodberry Down Estate that she has occupied for almost 30 years. In a dispute with Hackney Council, she refuses to be downsized into a smaller property among what many consider to be a segregated development. Daniel Clift, a resident of the Lincoln Court Estate nearby, has raised concerns over Hackney Council’s ongoing treatment of the estate, which continues to threaten the living conditions for existing residents.
